ETHNO-TERRITORIAL AND GENDER FEATURES OF THE PAPILLAR LINES FLOW OF THE MIDDLE AND PROXIMALFINGER FALANGES

Abstract

Abstract. The article deals with the ethno-territorial and gender features of the flow of middle and proximal phalanges in the middle finger parts. These features have been established with the purpose of studying the direction of papillary streams and determination the coefficient of correlation of ulnar and radially oriented patterns, located on the middle and proximal phalanges of the fingers of people belonging to the Hutsul, Boyko and Lemko ethno-territorial groups and the control group of people. The object of the study was the correlation between the direction of papillary lines and the ethno-territorial affiliation of female (160) and male (160) gender groups, living inIvano-Frankivsk region and belonging to the Hutsul, Boyko and Lemko ethno-territorial groups and the control group of people. The methods used during the study were the dermatological method and the method of one-dimensional and multidimensional statistical analysis. In the course of our study, it was found that in the middle and proximal phalanges in women belonging to the Boyko ethno-territorial group, ulnar-oriented papillary lines occurmost commonly, and the ratio of ulnar papillary lines to radials in the middle phalanges is 1.73, which is the highest in comparison with other study groups and 1.59 on the proximal phalanges, which is also the greatest indicator. Men in the middle and proximal phalanges most often have ulnar-oriented papillary lines. The coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to radials in the middle phalanges is 1.05, which is a median value compared with other study groups, and 1.78 on the proximal phalanges, which is the greatest indicator. In women belonging to the Hutsul ethnic-territorial group, the middle and proximal phalanges most often encounter radially oriented papillary lines, and the coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to radials in the middle phalanges is 1.59, which is a median value compared with other study groups, and, respectively, on proximal phalanges - 1.42, which is also a median value. Men in this group have the following tendency: on the middle phalanges most commonly are ulnar-oriented papillary lines, on proximal - radial. The coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to radials in the middle phalanges is 1.77, which is the highest value among the studied groups, and in the proximal phalanx - 1.10, which has a median value. For women belonging to the Lemko ethno-territorial group, the following data were obtained: on the middle and proximal phalanges most commonly are ulnar-oriented papillary lines, the coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to the radials in the middle phalanges is 1,56, on proximal phalanges is 1.22, which in both cases has a median value. Men from this group received the following data: on the middle and on the proximal phalanges most often found radially directed papillary streams, and the coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to radials in the middle phalanges is 1.24, in the proximal - 1.42, which in both cases occupies a median position. The obtained indices in the investigated ethno-territorial groups differ significantly from the control group. Among women belonging to the control group in the middle and proximal phalanges of the fingers, the median flow of papillary lines is most common, the coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to the radials in the middle phalanges is 0.71, and in the proximal phalanges - 0.67, which is the lowest index among the studied groups. In men of this group, in the middle and proximal phalanges, although most often, there are radially oriented papillary lines, however, the coefficient of correlation of ulnar papillary lines to radials is the lowest of the studied groups and is respectively 0.89 and 0.96 in the middle and proximal phalanges. After conducting this study, we can conclude that direction of papillary streams of middle and proximal phalanges of fingers correlate with the gender and ethno-territorial affiliation of the person. Also, in most cases, the uniformity of the direction of papillary streams on the middle and proximal phalanges of the same finger is observed. The obtained data can broaden the spectrum of dermatological-identifying features.
